shift-click selection is not properly copied

Bug Description
When using the "Copy" option from the context menu in terminator, the text which gets copied is only that text which the mouse was *dragged* over. If, on the other hand, you single-click at one point, and then SHIFT-click at another point to select a range of text, the "Copy" option does not copy the selection.

I can reproduce this in GNOME Terminal, which means it's almost certainly a bug in the terminal widget we share with them - VTE. I've added an upstream task to this bug for that, but I haven't filed the bug in VTE's bugtracker (the GNOME Bugzilla).
