Bug Description
The utility of providing a podcast count in the launcher would be greatly improved if Vocal farmed out feed monitoring and libunity functionality (e.g. Launcher API) to a separate daemon (as the FeedReader RSS client appears to do). Such would assure continuity of podcast count reporting (i.e count displayed and updated even when GUI closed) as well as allow end-users to start the daemon at log-in without the need to autostart Vocal's GUI.
