Bug Description
For various reasons, one gets messages with bad line endings in a VM folder, i.e., messages with CRLF line endings when the folder has only LF line endings or vice versa.
VM is intolerant of such folders and fails to parse the messages correctly.
Can we make VM identify and fix the problems automatically?
At the least, the manual should warn the users about such problems.
