Bug Description
In Gnu Emacs, invoking a menu item that involves a dialogue box creates a dialogue inside an Emacs buffer. Is it possible to create a window system dialogue box instead? Examples are things like "visit folder" or "save message". (Gnu Emacs's own menu items open up window system dialogue boxes.)
Secondly, the Emacs buffer-based dialogue doesn't seem to handle defaults correctly. If an IMAP folder is the default for vm-save-message (invoked via the menu), it gets combined with the default-directory.
