VM trying to close a non-existent IMAP connection

Bug Description
Trying to visit an IMAP folder that was already loaded seems to close its IMAP session, even though it was already closed.
Found two trace buffers with these titles:
* saved MAIL imap.gmail 10:43:1: 10640 Fundamenta
* saved MAIL imap.gmail 10:43:43 249 Fundamenta
The first one ends with:
VM LOGOUT
* BYE LOGOUT Requested
VM OK 73 good day (Success)
Process IMAP over SSL finished
The second one says:
Starting IMAP over SSL session Sat Nov 24 10:43:43 2012
-- connecting to imap.gmail.com:993
* OK Gimap ready for requests from 80.193.199.103 xk7if4090038wib.79
Process IMAP over SSL<1> killed
ending IMAP session Sat Nov 24 10:43:43 2012
Is VM getting confused about the IMAP sessions attached to the folder?
