Bug Description
Binary package hint: vlc
It's known that DVD menu buttons is in fact subtitle images (http://
The point of this bug is: VLC is NOT shows general image. So there is NO buttons visible until one will be hovered with mouse.
Highlighted image is shown, but in wrong colors.
I've attach small self-made DVD to illustrate the problem. There is a menu with three text-buttons: chapter1, chapter2, chapter3. General color of each one is white. Highlighted color is blue.
You can compare how this menu shown in Totem and VLC. In VLC I don't see any buttons until hover them. Totem (gstreamer) displays it correctly.

Thank you for reporting this bug.
In Maverick, I opened the iso via VLC and noticed that Chapter 1/2/3/4 were not displayed until I hovered my mouse over them.
When I attempted to use Totem to play the file it attempted to search for a plugin but never found one. What plugin in Totem did you use to allow you to see what you expected?
