the VistaNavBar control only grows and doesn't shrink

Bug Description

When I browse through some folders, the control correctly grows as it needs more space. But when I go back again, it doesn't shrink anymore and the indicator-part grows bigger. The particular code is in the recalculate_minimal_size in the VistaNavBar.py module. But in my opinion, the indicator shouldn't be immediatly after the last PathElement, but at the very right of the control. If you imagine an application that sets the width of the NavBar-control to a fixed value (that is bigger than what all the PathElements need), then I'd rather like to have a indicator that stays at a fixed position than "jumping" around depending on the length of the path.

Yes you're absolutely right. The bar growing behavior was/is only a try and should be removed. Additionally we need a way to shorten paths which are to long (see attachment for the default Vista behavior).
