Comment 2 for bug 220475

Here on my Ubuntu Hardy RV, onboard segfaults when I try to use it remotely, but it does not segfault when used locally.

Moreover, have you tried by setting onboard to use a layout stored on a disk instead of the layout generated automatically at startup of onboard? (The latter was always more crash prone.)
