black screen when connected to vm

I am running ubuntu 8.10 as virtual machine with KVM in bridged mode. Whenever I connect to or from the VM with vinagre I can only see a black screen. The VM also runs ubuntu 8.10.
I can see that the connection is established but the screen stays black and I get no error message.
When trying the same scenario between two computers (no VM involved) vinagre works great.
I don't know where the problem is.

Confirm this bug, but in other situation.
I have two computers with Ubuntu 8.10, one with i386 (PC1), other amd64 (PC2)
When I connect in vinagre from PC1 to PC2 - I have black screen, but early all work fine. I try use vncviewer and xtightvncviewer - and its work fine, but in vinagre - black screen ((

same in 9.04, but the screen isn't black, I wonder if this affects kvm as well.

Hi guys

I'm on Jaunty now (9.04) and have the same issue.
Trying to connect from ubuntu 64 to winxp32.
Getting black screen. No errors, nothing.

On the same machine that I have jaunty, I also have winxp in dual boot which successfully connect.

Right, me again.

In the mean time I read something on the web and saw someone said that vinagre actually comes back with an error message after two minutes. So I left my session on as well and I can now confirm that the screen is initially black and after two minutes or so I get an error saying that the host closed the connection.
