I have noticed issues with xorg on ubuntu and raspbian. I get call path errors and cinnamon not found errors on ubuntu. and on raspian when I open Kodi and then close it after a while many many images change on the screen really fast.

Additional digging shows maybe these issues are the actual cause and the error logs are coincidental:
Your processor is affected by the c-state bug
or
Linux randomly freezes with built-in video devices.
