Bug Description
Version: 0.6.9
Desktop Environment: Unity
OS: Ubuntu 16.04
The options under "color and size" configuration allow you to filter which images variety would pick to set as a wallpaper (https:/
Would it be possible to apply the same filter to downloads as well? I don't want downloads of non-landscape images piling up because I don't manually intervene into wallpaper selection and they'll never end up being selected automatically anyways.
Expected Behavior: Either these settings apply automatically to downloads (download -> check for conformance -> delete download if it doesn't conform and download again) or be available under a configuration option "apply these to downloads as well"

I am failing to see what exactly is the problem here.
Some of the image sources (e.g. Wallhaven, Flickr) check the size and do not download nonconforming images - this is done by every source that can do it without downloading images.
For the other sources, which provide no size or orientation info, the images get downloaded, but will never be selected for display if they are not matching the filters (unless there are no actually matching images, as in this case Variety relaxes the checks).
From there on, I see no reason to delete and download again - the download folder is (by default) subjected to a quota, and is more or less treated as a cache that Variety manages, not the user. So having "junk" images there is acceptable, as they will eventually get automatically deleted by the cleanup logic as new ones are downloaded.
