variety doesnt change wallpapers anymore.. ran with -vv

but since it changes to the same file each and every time, no wallpaper is actually changed :(

also : when i use 'Preferences' from the variety taskbar icon, the window won't pop up anymore.

it started doing this all out of the blue, and i can't fix it myself, i've tried.

i'm using only the fortunes command plugin on top of a standard installation of variety with just my Pictures folder added, it contains only pictures and no sub-folders.

... this is despite having multiple wallpaper sources enabled including a folder containing 700 picture files and nothing else.

reverting the varity config file to the default config file fixed the problem.

i turned the quotes display back on, but not the clock yet, and for now it does change backgrounds again

i'll let you know how it goes over the next few days.

i also had EXIF rating set to 4.

i'll keep that off while i test the other features 1 by 1.

What desktop environment are you using with compiz? Perhaps you had an outdated version of the set_wallpaper script (~/.config/variety/scripts) so that refreshing it would help - I have to look into what update checking functionality is available for it...

It looks like this is fixed now, so I'll close the issue.
