APOD description as a quote

I enjoy the APOD especially.
Thats why i wanted to ask for a feature; since variety has anyways this "qoute" functionality i would like to get the fitting explanation of the shown apod picture. that would be great, since it would give a good educational experience with that.

Good idea, but several problems with the implementation:

The most major is that APOD descriptions are usually quite long an won't fit on the screen with the usual Quote-drawing code, so we need dedicated rendering with a smaller font. Also, this requires quite a lot APOD-specific code to be added.

Another one is the poor formatting of the description on APOD's site - they use no semantic markup, so it's hard to extract the description alone in a reliable manner.

I understand. On the other hand, apod's pictures a demanding an explanation that much.
Maybe a simple compromize could be, to put the related link as a quote. so one, can easily get the explanation, if needed.

You have the link in Variety's menu - look for "View at NASA Astro Pic of the Day..." in the main menu, this opens the original link in the browser.

Ah okay, i didn't recognize, cause i assumed it would just show the picture of the (to)day. Nice, than i am happy.
