Bug Description
There is some peculiarity with multithreadeding in GTK and Ctrl-C handling because of which now Variety does not respond properly to Ctrl-C. We should investigate and fix this.

Variety now properly handles SIGINT, SIGTERM and SIGQUIT and exits, hiding the clock and quotes on the way.
However, Variety still does not behave OK when the user is logging out - it seems we don't get any of these these signals in this case, we simply get killed. This will be handled in another bug report.
