Bug Description

It would be incredibly useful if uvt-simplestreams-libvirt could sync older versions that are available. Digging into the stream json file and I can see previous versions are tracked, but there's no way to specify it as a filter for sync. This is particularly useful if you need to test something against an older image.

I too would like the ability to sync/use a specific image.

I have a use case where I need to fix the release at a point which is stable with a specific kernel version.

Actually, it appears that this is already possible.

Using https://bugs.launchpad.net/uvtool/+bug/1245690 as a hint to see available images.

You should be able to fetch/use any image using a filter that narrows it down sufficiently.

For uniquely referencing images you could try arch=ARCH release=RELEASE version_name=VERSION or even md5= or sha256=HASH.
