Bug Description
Client was complaining about her machine not booting on her monitor, brought machine and the monitor in, discovered that upon booting it would go directly to GRUB menu, then boot to a black screen and hard lock. Edited the boot kernal to remove "quiet splash" and machine boots just fine.
Splash edited back in, machine does not boot.
