Bug Description
I had a problem with uswsusp asking an interactive question during bootup (very bad, reported elsewhere)
usplash failed on this situation: it did not show the question needing interaction nor any hint that there would be such a question. Instead the screen just turned black.
The very least would be to display something like "boot process stalled, reboot in safe mode"
