The uRadio-App does not work on my bq aquaris 4.5...Is this a well known bug or a question of preferences ?...Thank you for working on uRadio-App...It is a wonderfull app.

I want to describe my problem with uRadio on BQ Auaris E4.5 more precise. It looks like the problem is the audio-streaming-address. There is no problem with stations like: BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, Bayern 2, Cadena Ser, Dkultur, Deutschlandfunk, FM4, FluxFM,Fritz, Funkhaus Europa, NPR, Radio Vallekas . All these stations on the App work and i can switch between them. As soon as i click on a station with an audio-streaming-address ending with .pls the App stops playing a sound. After that also the stations that worked before don't play a sound anymore. I have to finish the App and start it again and then the stations with no .pls at the end of the audio-streaming-address play a sound again.

PLS or M3U Links on a BQ Auaris E4.5 don't work - MP3 Links work

The streaming-address from "Groove Salad | somafm.com" changed from a not working address: "http://somafm.com/groovesalad.pls" to a working address: "http://ice1.somafm.com/groovesalad-128-aac".

Therefore it seems that the address-ending ".pls" is the problem. Also the address-ending ".m3u" seems not to work. Like "Radio Lublin" with the streaming-address "http://www.radio.lublin.pl/streaming/64k.m3u".

"Somafm" writes on it's website "https://somafm.com/groovesalad/directstreamlinks.html" : "...Using the PLS or M3U links is the best, as these links are "permanent" and do not change. Direct server links can vary based on individual server availability and should only be used if PLS or M3U links won't work with your player. If a direct server link stops working, you'll need to get the updated links here."

As far as I can see all streaming-addresses with "mp3" work.

People who add radio stations should know about this issue.

Yes, I found this when trying to add BBC radio 5live. The app is very fussy about the format, and I had to copy the supplied setup for bbc radio3 and edit it. There is a list of aac feeds for the bbc on github's forums

I also found that having edited the config I had to close the app and restart it before my edit worked

I am glad I found this bug, I was getting very puzzled.

This is a way to get a stream for uRadio:

Go to www.listenlive.eu

Select the country you are looking for. For example Ireland.

Select the station you are looking for. For example „RTÉ Radio 1“

Go to the column „Listen Live“

Right mouse click on 96 kbps > Copy Link Location

Open VLC Player > Open network stream > shortcut: Ctrl + N

Insert the Link Location > shortcut: ctrl + V : http://www.listenlive.eu/rte1.m3u

Press enter

Now you see the VLC playlist. VLC changed the Link Location: http://www.listenlive.eu/rte1.m3u in this stream: http://icecast2.rte.ie/radio1

This stream works in uRadio

This method works almost always
