Bug Description

On my Aquaris e5 HD Ubuntu edition with OTA-9, streaming uRadio onto a Headset or BT speakers as well as my car Stereo (Ford SYNC), uRadio plays a few seconds, sometimes even a few minutes, then audio is silent and comes back after between 20 seconds and a minute. After another minute or so, audio is silent again and will come back after half a minute or so. And so on...

Both devices (phone and headset/SYNC) show they are connected, the signal quality on the phone is said to be excellent, but audio is silent.

This happens to me with uRadio and Podbird, but not wiht the Music App.

I tried wiht my Philips SHB9100 Headset, an UE Boombox and Ford SNYC.

Changed in uradio:
importance: Undecided → High
affects: uradio → podbird
affects: podbird → uradio

Similar problem with bq E 4.5 and BT car stereo.
After 15-20 minutes the stream breaks down completely after a few shorter breaks before. I then need to restart uRadio to start stream again.
Not tested on stationary BT equipment.

I forgot to mention that besides Music App not showing this problem. Using the car's steering wheel controls to accept or place calls via bluetooth works - even during the "silent" phases of this bug/effect

Similar problem with bluetooth speaker - audio comes out after pairing very briefly, then connection is dropped and reverts to phone speaker BQ4.5

...and like Harry says I need to restart uRadio most times.

so here we are, a few weeks after OTA-10 and it seems things got a bit more stable, but the breaks still happen. But not as often any more as back in February...
