changing the release upgrade setting, doesn't apply until update-manager is restarted

Hi,

I noticed today, that changing the "release upgrade" setting through the update-managers settings button, doesn't get reflected until after update-manager is restarted.

I don't know if you have to restart for every setting thats applied through the settings button.

It would be useful for any setting thats changed via the settings button, to be applied when the "software settings" window is closed, rather than once update-manager is restarted
