Bug Description
Ubuntu 8.10
update-manager 0.93.34
changed my language to Hebrew in order to confirm this bug: https:/
opened a terminal and write update-manager - it starts the GUI, and after 1 second crashes with the following TraceBack:
File "/usr/bin/
app.
File "/usr/lib/
self.
File "/usr/lib/
self.
File "/usr/lib/

File "/usr/lib/

TypeError: not all arguments converted during string formatting
Note: I got the same error when ran `sudo update-manager`
Another note: I got this just after an upgrade which requires reboot (kernel) however, I still didn't reboot when running the update-manager again.
One more note: I logged out and log-in again using my default language (English) - everything is OK.
so - somehow it's may be related to the language... see bug/316171

This is most likely a incorrect translation what has a different number of "%s" than the original english string.
