Contact avatar not being displayed in snap decision when phone unlocked

Bug Description

build r60 with split greeter

1) Add a contact with an avatar and phone number in address book
2) lock the phone
3) Call the phone from the phone number associated with the contact added in 1)
4) Confirm that snap decision has correct Contact Name, Avatar and phone number
5) dismiss the call
6) now unlock the phone so apps scope is showing
7) call the phone again
8) dismiss the call but note what is displayed in the snap decision

Expected results:
- snap decision should be shown with correct Contact Name, Avatar and phone number

Actual result
- snap decision does not display contact avatar

I think you're seeing bug 1296777. Do you see no avatar or a poorly-displayed avatar?

I almost thought I saw this -- but the contact info came in at the last moment. It seems like the contact info can be very delayed, but I'm not sure that's tied to the split greeter per se.

Aha! Tiago says this seems to be related to whether the image is a PNG or JPG. I've been using PNG, so that might explain why I can't reproduce.

I am able to reproduce now with a JPG file! I also went back to image 58, before the split greeter landed and reproduced it there. Can you reproduce on image 58? If so, I don't think this is related to the split greeter.

Saviq, we don't *think* so. See comment #3. This has no avatar. But 1296777 has a zoomed in avatar.

i just tested image #203, and this bug is not occurring. also note, "split greeter" in original description which was punted to be beyond 14.10.
