unity8 takes up about 50% of a CPU core when phone is blanked

Bug Description
Steps:
1. adb shell into phone and run top
2. either click the power button or wait for the phone to sleep
Result:
Note that the CPU utilization for unity8 goes up to about 50%
Note that you can get the CPU utilization to go away by waking the phone and clicking the home button
