Bug Description

Somewhere the .desktop file's name is being converted into lowercase, which then causes it to fail. For example, I have uReadIt.desktop, but when trying to launch it from the Unity 8 Dash I get the following in the logs:

Unable to activate "ureadit.desktop"

Renaming uReadIt.desktop to ureadit.desktop allows the app to launch again.

click explicitly permits upper-case in application names, so this ought to be permitted in Unity 8 too.
