Bug Description

In "normal" mode dash works properly and without any lags. But when i do fullscreen, dash begins lag (selection hovering moves slowly, etc). I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 on my laptop with Radeon 4200 graphics. On desktop with nVidia graphics all works properly.

I think this occurs more when you have smart blur enabled, since it used to happen to me on 11.10 when I was using a nvidia GeForce 8400, but with the GT 520M (about 10 times more video memory) it isn't really noticeable.

Bug disappeared after the last update (there was compiz, unity-services, etc). I think the problem is solved.

Still present in Unity 5.12:

With maximized dash:
Active Blur + static background -> ~ 5 fps
Active Blur + Youtube video behind dash -> ~ 1 fps (Video is lagging too)

Static Blur + static background -> ~ 5 fps
Static Blur + Video background -> ~ 1 fps (background not changing)

No Blur + static -> ~ 15 fps
No Blur + Video -> ~ 5 fps (Video fps is lower only when not moving with mouse)

With normal-sized dash:
No Blur and Static Blur and Active Blur (static background): both running like a charm, even with video in background (video not lagging)
Active Blur + Video: same as maximized

I would set the Importance to "Medium" because the Dash isn't really usable, when you use it maximized, or with a constantly changing background.
I will make a short video for you guys.

Forget the video... the dash don't show this low frame rate while taking the video O.o
