Bug Description

This problem started right after upgrading to Precise. When I start a full screen Windows game (Elasto Mania) the Unity launcher does not disappear and hides the left side of the screen. Please see attached screenshot.
However I am able to alt+tab to Wine and the launcher disappears.

I can confirm this behavior in Precise with Diablo II running under wine. Full screen mode (default) has bad resolution and Unity launcher and global menu do not disappear.

Cannot force windowed mode to custom resolution either so most games under wine are unplayable.

Leo: I'm not sure I understand your problem with the resolution but if it's another problem then open a new bug report for it.

The screen resolution of a fullscreen game is often different to the resolution used normally i.e. when outside of fullscreen.

I have seen this same problem occur when running DOSBox in fullscreen - the Unity launcher does not disappear and remains permanently visible in DOSBox fullscreen.
