Thank you for your bug report, is there any chance you could get a valgrind log?

here is log from valgrind (I have done it using this page https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind)

Memory leak is not there, at least not big for sure, I do not know if it was fixed in recent updates, but on the other side, I have got pretty nasty crash (I have attempted display a bit bigger window than usual)

Hello.

I have the same problem with xubuntu 12.04 and intel graphics adapter.
On other computer, with NVidia, this bug does't affect me.

Thanks Pavol. Unfortunately you seem to have run valgrind on the "unity" python script. Actually unity runs in the "compiz" process and I don't have any simple instructions written yet for how to vallgrind (or 'massif') the compiz/unity process.

If you are comfortable with valgrind then please consider using "valgrind --tool=massif" to gather memory usage info. Again, sorry we don't have any explicit instructions written for it yet.

unity-panel-service is not leaking memory on 15.04+. The memory footprint tends to grow slowly but that does not mean there is actually a memory leak, it's just the way the kernel manage the memory. Please reopen the bug if you think the leak is still there.
