Bug Description

When searching for an application in unity say 'terminal', the search results come up with the terminal as the first application available. In the latest 12.04 the only way to launch this application is to click on it or arrow key down twice and it enter. From a usability perspective one should be able to search term and hit enter and have a terminal window open.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thank you for reporting this bug. However I cannot reproduce this bug. For me when you open the dash and search for terminal, the search results show terminal as the first application available. I can then press Enter to launch the terminal quickly...with no need of using the arrow key or using the mouse.

But could you please post which version of Unity you are running? You can find out by typing "unity --version" in the terminal without quotes.

Hey Nekhelesh,

I see what you mean this does work for me however, I see what I was doing and thinking it should work.

When searching for say terminal unless the search has completed (progress bar has stopped) it will not let me select the first item with the enter key. I am assuming this is probably by design but if you can let me know your thoughts.

If this is how it is intended to work, then please close this, it is just a usablity issue I need to get use to.

Thanks.
