Mouse wheel doesn't work when hovering over Dash category headers

Using the mouse wheel to scroll through the Dash contents doesn't work if the mouse pointer is hovering over one of the category headers (e.g. Recent Files)

Also reveal doesn't function when the launcher auto-hide feature is enabled

The mouse wheel scroll is also broken in other applications. Both the launcher auto-hide reveal and scrolling issues persist whether or not guest additions is installed.
