Bug Description
1) Ubuntu Precise Pangolin 12.04 LTS Beta 1 - actual
2) unity: Installiert: 5.4.0-0ubuntu2
3) I want to open "Extras" and "Add-ons" via the mouse / touchpad.
4) When I open Thunderbird (German edition) with Enigmail, new new Conversation Plugin and Lightning, the top panel becomes unpredictable to handle. Let's say, I want to open "Extras" and then "Add-ons" - that can't be reached via mouse/touchpad, because there is the message-menu. Or the bluetooth menu.
There are to many menus, that not all can be shown - and only via tricks you can reach them.
Work arounds
===========
Pressing F10 - and moving around with the left right arrow key - and later the up / down arrow key - let's you navigate. The HUD menu doesn't work. It doesn't find Extras or Add-ons, I already tested that.
You can instead click on another menu - and then again navigate around via the keys.
How to fix this
===========
The solution is easy: When the panel menu is to wide to be displayed completely (and so useable), the menu should behave different - the topics should look then like this:
FILE
EDIT
VIEW
CHRONICS
...
and the other menus should slide to the side, instead of
FILE EDIT VIEW CHRONICS ....
For Oneiric Ocelot, there existed a menu-indicator who did this, but anytime, not on specifig cases, if I remember correct.

This bug is not a Thunderbird bug, the problem occurs on any program with lots of panel menus.
