Bug Description

I guess this bug is more about Unity using its own key bindings instead of inheriting them from GNOME. Seems like we are replicating work and not integrating Unity into GNOME as much as possible.

I like to use "emacs" key theme. Unfortunately, the lens doesn't respect the "emacs" theme. To repro:

1. Change the GNOME keyboard scheme from "default" to "emacs". You can find out more by googleing it or have a look here: (http://www.fettesps.com/ubuntu-emacs-keybindings/)

2. Press "Super" and start typing something in the lense text box

3. Press "CTRL+A" that is suppose to put your cursor in the beginning of the line (not highlight all). You can also try "CTRL-K" which will kill all content from the position of the cursor to the end of the line. Instead, it shows a funky box with zeros in it.

See also the earlier Bug #736852. I think these two bugs are duplicates.

James: you are right. This bug is pretty much a dup of #736852
