Bug Description
In Precise, when you click an application in the Dash results that also happens to be pinned to the launcher, the launcher will not pulse to indicate that the program is starting up.
1st Way of reproducing this bug:
1. Pin an application to the launcher
2. Open dash and search for that application.
3. Click on that application to run it
(Easiest to reproduce with Ubuntu Software Center and its... languid start-up times.)
2nd Way of reproducing this bug:
1. Make sure firefox is pinned to the launcher.
2. Open thunderbird and click on a web link which will then try to open it in firefox.
What it does:
The launcher item stays "solid" and the indicators for a running app will show up eventually.
What is expected:
The launcher item for the application should "pulse" to indicate that the application is starting up until the chevron item appears.
Running up-to-date Precise with Unity 5.0

On my Precise 64bit installation "pulse" is completely broken.
It does not matter whether the app is launched from the dash or the launcher itself
