Bug Description
I just recently upgraded my ubuntu and started using unity, so I actually don't know how or how often such a thing might happen, but I'll try to describe as best as I can.
I was programming (in gVim), compiling and testing (in gnome-terminal) using internet (firefox) and listening to music (banshee) and at night told ubuntu to "Stand by". The next day, I continue working while it suddenly crashed. That's not what I am reporting though (although you may be interested).
After restart, I started doing the same things and at one point suddenly the sidebar stopped showing the terminals I opened (Alt+tab also didn't show them. Even when on one terminal, ALT+` just would switch to another window). I had "keep in launcher"ed terminal, although I often open it with CTLR+ALT+t. I removed the icon from the launcher and opening another terminal doesn't bring it up there.
So basically, I can't access my terminals unless I do SUPER+w and select the terminal!
Finally, I just tried opening another terminal and now SUPER+w also shows one of my older unclosed terminals that had been lost!
If the bug happened to me again, I'd most certainly try to remember the similarities and come up with a way to reproduce it.
