unity, window placement for programs run under wine is buggy

I have installed Steam via Crossover Games and menu lists and modal dialogues are shown on the top left corner of the screen. Even copy/paste menus are shown in that place.

I confirm. Also on NVIDIA, same driver version (280.13).

This bug is new to Ubuntu 11.10. It was OK in Ubuntu 11.04. Wine version is irrelevant; I'm using 1.3.32 and 1.3.14 concurrently and they both exhibit the same behaviour.

This happens with automatic window placement. As soon as I manually place the window by clicking on the titlebar, the dropdowns (as well as any other child windows) are placed correctly.
