Bug Description
Never saw this until today; running 11.04 for a few months. Keeps happening after manual restart of unity via 'unity --replace' in a terminal, and after restarting the entire X session by killing Xorg and logging back in.
Screenshot of the launcher toolbar attached.
This is a dual-monitor configuration (2x 1920x1080 monitors on DisplayPort, using proprietary NVidia drivers). Have never had any problem with Unity on this setup before; as recently as Thursday when I was last in the office using this computer the launcher icons laid out just fine across the height of the screen.

Sigh... though this problem persisted across about 8 restarts of unity including a complete destruction of the login session and logging back in, it did not persist across a reboot of the system.
Yay for incomprehensible irreproducible problems! :P
