Bug Description

I just updated to unity 4.14.2 and there is a serious bug that seems to be fully reproducible. The thing is it's not a single symptom, it looks like the focus behavior is completely bugged. Do the following to reproduce:
First, start any application and let the window open (do not minimize). Then, start a second application and minimize this second application. Next, try to click on the window of the first application that you see. You cannot. It is completely unresponsive. The only way I found out of this is to keep clicking and double-clicking and right-clicking on the Launcher icon, and somehow the right-click menu comes alive and you can close the application.
Now, if you maximize the window of the first application before you start the second one, there is another symptom. What happens is, after you start and minimize the second application, the first application window is still unresponsive but the titlebar and window controls on top are active and you can unmaximize the window and then it comes back alive. However, after this, if you restore the second application (from the Launcher icon), its maximize behavior is corrupted; if you re-maximize the first application before restoring the second one, the second application is restored in a corrupted maximized window; if you do not re-maximize the first application before restoring the second one, the second application is restored normally, but if you try and maximize it, it show the same corrupted maximized window. By corrupted, I mean that it looses the titlebar and places the window contents to the top left side of the screen but it fails to draw the whole screen. Try the steps above and you'll see.
I also noticed a bug that results in corrupted maximized windows upon restore, and it happens when you repeatedly (not necessarily very quickly) minimize and restore a few windows. The corruption there is that the maximized window is not drawn starting right where the top panel ends but rather a wide gap is left (through which you see the desktop).
Overall, this is a _very_ serious problem and I hope there is an easy fix. I feel like this has to do with another bug, which was to be fixed with this update, that had to do with inactive titlebars upon restore. I couldn't find that bug but I think Sam Spilsbury was looking into it, if I'm not mistaken.
