Bug Description
On current Oneiric, using the current proprietary Nvidia drivers, this is 100% reproducible:
On resume from sleep, you are greeted with the password window just fine, but after that, the desktop is not painted correctly. It is completely distorted. The thing is, the UI elements like the top panel and the launcher has no distortion. Please see the attached screenshot.
Given that this started after I installed the proprietary Nvidia drivers, the problem is probably related to it but I'm not 100% sure. However, given that it is 100% reproducible (just put the PC to sleep and resume), this is very serious. The only remedy I found so far is logout and log back in; basically, restart X.
