qtsdk installer crashes unity-window-decorator

clicking to the third dialogue of this installer (either 'default' or 'custom') causes the entire display to seize up and unity-window-decorator to segfault

i can restart unity-window-decorator and reproduce this very easily.

i experienced this same problem with this installer, as well as the 1.1.2 offline and 1.1.2 online installers.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit.
If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'.

unity-window-decorator actually does not segfault until i kill -9 the installer,

output running installer from command line gets me :

This is most probably a duplicate of bug 805303.
Does the work-around from that bug work? (Install qtconfig-qt4 and change Qt theme from "GTK+" to "Cleanlooks").

Also, you may want to know that Qt SDK is available in official Ubuntu repositories. Just search for "Qt Creator" in the Software Center.

Same result here. The workaround does fix it (changing the Qt style from Gtk+ to any other). This is with Qt SDK 1.1.4 installer.
