Bug Description

SRU TEST CASE

1 Login to unity session
2 right click on any app in the launcher, quicklist will appear.
3 click on any of the quicklist item (no item is select able)
4 now install nux from oneiric-proposed
5 on next login the problem is not there.

What happens:
nothing can be clicked on the quicklist, you have to right click again on the quicklist to make it functional.

What should happen:
it should work the first time

@om26er: "seems fixed to me as well, did the fix for "launcher not revealing" issue also fixed this as well". What is the "launcher not revealing" issue and how do you fix it? I had been experiencing an issue with the launcher sometimes not revealing when the mouse pointer was held against the left edge of the screen but after the latest updates I have not yet experienced it.

I'm cautiously optimistic the quicklist problem is sorted - at least for me, with latest downloads. At login all seems to work fine. The other problem I mentioned however, has not. This bug becomes very annoying if you're used to launch apps or files by quickly switching lenses using tab, then navigating to the app with the cursors. Try this:
- reboot and login;
- press Super key to open dash;
- press Tab key to switch lenses:
- the Dash is non-functional and pressing tab does nothing.

You then have to press Super twice to close the dash and reopen it. It finally works.

You are correct, it was an anomaly . . but I didn't imagine it, there was a change. I am not sure what caused it but it was something related to login/autologin as I was fiddling with that due to another problem. Linux is great but you need time to fix problems.

You can download them into a folder and then install them with sudo dpkg -i *.deb
Whenever they become available on the official update channel they will be upgraded automatically since that version number will be higher than mine from the ppa.

Following Miklos' procedure to simply download the necessary files to update the nux-tools (64-bit) fixed it for me, so far without any adverse side effects. Thank you Miklos.

Hello Doug, or anyone else affected,

Accepted nux into oneiric-proposed, the package will build now and be available in a few hours. Please test and give feedback here. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you in advance!

As far as I could see ultil now (I installed it from mjuhasz PPA), it works as expected.

I don't know where to post new requests, so I publish them here:
I would propose some new actions to be added, like the posibility of seeing multiple windows from Unity bar. If one has 1-3 windows of same program, we can see 1-3 arrows next to the icon. But what if we have more windows, we see only 3 arrows there, althoug right now I use 5 Firefox windows. This is very confusing and not consistent.
It also lacks the possibility to select one of the windows without clicking the general icon and then selecting one of the windows (2 clicks). When I operate with some programs, it is not efficient. People comming from Windows, like I am, feel this difference immediately.

Maybe adding the number of windows instead of arrows will be better.

Could this be related to the issue of unity top left menu getting no clicks, application underneath gets the click?
