Dash opens behind other windows

Right after I started Ubuntu, only have Firefox, Evolution and Empathy running, I realize that the Unity launcher (pressing Super key) displays the menu in the background, not the foreground!
Unreachable unless you minimize all other windows...
That is a pain, please try to find this bug! Happened several times, but is not reproducable intentionally... (at least I don't know how...)

Oh no, I have to correct myself.

It USED to be okay after restart. Now that does not help any more. Starter stays in background!!!!

I had Ubuntu proposed enabled in updates - maybe I got something buggy installed because of that??

Again, I have to ask: what do I have to do to get anybody's attention to this bug?

I found out that the only way out of this situation that happens every day is to run "unity --reset" in a terminal, after that the launcher is back to where it belongs: the foreground.

It is NOT FUN working with Ubuntu anymore when this happens over and over again. What is going wrong here? How to I get somebody to look at this??

I have the same problem. It stated some time last week, as far as I can remember.

I run unity --replace from the ALT+F2 command line to relaunch unity and it fixes the problem for a while, but after some time it's back in the background. Can't really pinpoint the moment it happens.

I can only confirm this bug and i think its high importance, because it is an very annoying and disturbing bug. But if i restart compiz it disappears.

Still there with Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 1. I also use the NVidia binary driver, might it be driver related?
