Bug Description

The mouse pointer is pushed to the edge of the screen, or to 0, 0 to reveal the launcher. Then, with launcher revealed pointing to the bottom of it, near the trash - the icons in the bottom should expand. They do, however, they fold back, even with the pointer still near the trash. This happens only when the pointer is near the bottom, as described, but hits the farthest left pixel(s).

This seems to occur randomly, and usually after any given software install. The problem is resolved every time using 'dpkg-reconfigure unity.' I've had this happen on multiple different installs, x86 and x64.

Confirmed, also if "stack" is pushed up with the mouse, and the pointer is removed from the launcher, the "bin" icon gets "warped" (screenshot). Note this is not a screenshot of an an animation of the bin (can cause tearing), but the icon just looks like this while it slides back off to the left of the screen.

thanks for the bug report. Is that still an issue in Ubuntu 12.04? Can you please test that and let us know?
