Bug Description

When moving the active window to another workspace, the related application icon stays still active in the Launcher, although the window has moved to another workspace. To switch to that workspace, I need to make that icon lose the focus and regain it somehow.

Passivating the icon might be a better behaviour, because then one could switch to the other workspace by clicking the icon.

I can confirm this. How I reproduced it:
1) Open an application like Terminal on the current workspace.
2) Right-click the window's titlebar and choose to move it to another workspace.
3) The launcher icon for that window still shows it as being active, as reported. Also, clicking on it will not change to the new workspace where the window has been relocated to; a workaround is to change to the new workspace yourself, such as by using the workspace switcher.
When I first tried this, I was also expecting the launcher icon to change accordingly, yet it doesn't.

I'm still getting this problem in Oneiric (unity 4.16.0-0ubuntu2).

thanks for your bug report. Is that still an issue for you in Ubuntu 12.04? Can you please check and let us know?

I can't reproduce the behaviour anymore in Ubuntu 12.04.

In 12.04 LTS on my laptop, I am still getting the Terminal window to remain active after switching its workspace by following the steps listed inn comment #1, but I can now switch to it by clicking on the launcher icon for it. Immediately after following step 2 in that comment, I find that the launcher still shows it as active, and I can actually type on the keyboard and enter text into it from my current workspace.

While I'm sure that is also not desired behavior, it might be a separate bug. Let me know what you think.
