Maximised window image hangs as ghost

when working on windows for a long time, the image of the window becomes fixed and doesnt change, even though the behaviour of the program changes, title in the unity panel too changes upon changing tabs

Could you give more information on which application window does this occur with? Also it would be great if you provided a screenshot demonstrating this problem.

I thappens when using the Application Switcher Plugin in place of the Static
Application Switcher In the CompizConfigSettingsManager. The Static
Application Switcher too doesn't quickly on the screen.

Also, when changing most plugins or effects in Compiz, the Unity Panel
hangs. I gues the problem here is with the unity plugin in compiz, rather
than unity itself
