Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

Exemplary use case:
Add a media resource (e.g. file items from Nautilus in full screen) to another application's drop zone (e.g. Totem playlist).

Intended solution is to DRAG item(s), Alt-TAB to switch to other app, DROP item(s).
It seems Task Switcher does not get notified while Drag (mouse down).

Alternative solution (without keyboard interaction): Dragging the item to the Unity Launcher and keeping it on that icon brings that app to focus and the as app is at focus the item is dragged back onto the focused app, but now that item can't be added (or interact) to the app.
The Drag-Drop behavior on Unity Launcher is random, sometimes the files won't even open.When we Drag-Drop a file (e.g Video File) on an application icon (e.g Totem) the file opens but the application remains out of focus.
FIX: The application must take focus when a file is drag-opened by the Unity Launcher.

I don't know is this the right place to whrite this, but drag-and-drop operation in Unity is too limited for me too. When I want to send file to skype, ussualy I drag the file from nautilus to skype window and drop there (in skype window). Now when drag file, the skype icon on the launcher is not active, so imposible to drop to skype window. More, when draging even the icon of Nautilus, which is active is not fuctional, because she offers choise of two, three ... etc opnened nautilus windows, but when I try to drop in to chosen window, the window is stil inactive.
