@Nathanael: well, does not happen to me. If I interrupt my typing to open a new app, it's likely I'm switching tasks.
Moreover, I get a SSD drive, no app takes more than 1 second to open (or it will have a splash window like eclipse)... so we may have conflicting needs here.
