Bug Description
I find Unity's placement of the Launcher on the left side of the screen distracting to my work on the computer.
My focus starts at the top-left of the screen. I need the application I am working in to reside there--not the OS's controls. I use Windows 7 and have always placed the Taskbar on the right side of the screen. This placement is perfect because it does not distract my focus from the application, yet it is readily accessible when I need access to it.
I see no good reason why Unity can not provide the option to users to place the Launcher on the right side of the screen. To be frank, I will not use Unity if the Launcher cannot be moved from the left side. It simply is not conducive to how I interact with my computer.
I am interested and supportive of Ubuntu's efforts for change. But not offering users the option of a different placement for the Launcher is going too far. It will only encourage me to keep using Windows.

I know this has been discussed elsewhere already, but I cannot find that bug (and hence am unable to mark this as a duplicate). The "other" bug report discussion basically boiled down to 'not going to happen' any time soon.
