dash search box doesn't respond to keyboard input

Running Natty A3 updated to this morning (03/17). Summoning the dash, either with the mouse/ubuntu logo, or with the Super key, the search box doesn't accept my keyboard input, even if I click the search box and then type.

If I select some sort of specific category (e.g. "Find More Apps"), then it appears to be fixed, and works for subsequent launches of the dash.

Attached lspci output in case there's something relevant about hardware. I'm running an ATI card w/radeon driver.
