Bug Description

I think mouse right-click menu should be enabled in the text field for Dash. It should include "Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Select All", which is kind of standard. I believe many desktop users will be missing this feature and it completes the Dash experience.

This is probably on the larger side of bitesize, but shouldn't be too terribly complex. The square shapes are the raw keycodes getting turned in characters, it should just be catching the keypresses like the others, and manipulating the X clipboard.

For copying with ctrl+c there is bug 737732. For cutting with ctrl+x there is bug 737731. bug 737752 also is on a related problem. So remains the right click menu for that affecting ayatana-design

I have edited the bug description but I dont think right click menu is needed for this case because search field is mainly for performing searches and less for text manipulation of text.

I agree, I also think that items in the dash should have a context menu, like "pin the applauncher"

Still present in Oneiric. Also, dash text should be selectable by mouse drag.
An average Google user would expect this. :)

Also, dash should support text drag/drop from and to applications. For example, selecting a word in this page, and dragging it in the dash, should open a dash search for that word (like "Search with Google").
Should I open another bug for this?
