Bug Description
Binary package hint: light-themes
Some people would like a transparant panel when no window is maximized and an opaque panel when a window is maximized (I can't decide if I am one such person). I expect this could easily be added as an option.
On a related note, I personally think it would look better to lose the narrow opaque rings around the window buttons in the transparant panel when a window is maximized, especialy since the indicators on the other side of the panel don't have any outlines.

This also affects the launcher if you disable autohide in CCSM.
