Scroll wheel Does not work in launcher

Bug Description

When opening the applicatons/homescreen/places in unity (compiz) the mouse scroll wheel both using my synaptics touchpad and a usb mouse (tried many different mice so i dont figure it is an device issue) cannot be used to scroll down in the interface i am forced to use the scrollbars and click and drag them !
